"Great Awakening Tour" PHOENIX, ARIZONA Special Report

John 4:35 " Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."

The fields are white and ready to harvest. Unfortunately in today's modern church, there are no laborers. People attend church but very few are engaged in spreading the good news to the lost. The purpose of the Phoenix "Great Awakening Tour" Oct 11th to 24th. was to light a fire of soul winning in the hearts of believers.

There were over 600 churches participating in the outreach to the city and the RMI team with Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne met at five different locations across the city. With over 2300 on the team going to businesses, homes, frail care and retirement facilities, and in the streets. At the time of writing this article, a total of 46,000 decisions for Christ have been made.

A pastor from Mineapolis MN. was sponsored by local businessmen to help in the outreach. Another lady pastor came all the way from Vermont to help during this special time. Another pastor drove a bus load of 15 from Tucson AZ for the event and they are praying for the RMI/GAT team to come to their city which may happen in the Spring.

Nightly, the presence of God was felt and people were visibly moved by the power of God. People worshipped with intensity. The photo below shows the earnestness on this worshippers face.

The altar filled with people coming to make a first time commitment to Christ and also to re-dedicate their lives to God as can be seen from the photo on the right.

This was the last night of the four night crusade hosted by Church of the Nations in Phoenix. There were many Hispanic people in the meeting who were greatly touched by the power of God. Pastor Rodney said that he felt God was going to use the Hispanic people to touch the city.

One of the highlights of the night were the many testimonies of the harvesters who had led people to Christ. One was from a 16 year old young lady who testified to being rejected by an old man who did not want to hear about Jesus. But later as she was leaving the frail care home, he called out to her to come back so he could say the prayer.

Pastor Rodney calls the teenager, from Tampa, "his weapon of mass destruction" because she has led over 600 people to Christ, since the start of the Great Awakening Tour 41 cities ago.

It looks like God has to raise young people, fill them with His fire and send them out to win the lost. It's probably because they don't have minds cluttered with all sorts of doctrines that make the Body of Christ, impotent and ineffective for Christ

His youthful exuberance is a testimony to the Holy Spirit's ability to empower the Body of Christ to go "into all the world and preach the Good News"

Two inspiring videos

In this first video, Steve, who had been to four previous GAT cities, testified about the people he lead to the Lord that day.

While he was testifying, the next man in line, Rick, from England informed Jenifer Gonyon that he had been watching a previous video of Steve testifying and during that video, the Lord spoke to him to come to the USA and help in the Phoenix meetings.
