There is a Storm Coming
ProductPublish date: 07/27/2009
On September 11, 2001 great tragedy struck this nation when terrorists hijacked four airplanes, flew them into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, and took the lives of thousands of people in New York City, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C.
Two years before this tragedy, in the summer of 1999, we had cast a Gospel net over the city of New York. The Lord had given Dr. Rodney Howard-Browne a supernatural dream and in it He instructed him to go to New York City and conduct one of the largest soul-winning outreaches in 50 years. So we rented Madison Square Garden for six weeks, gave out 13 million free tickets in eight languages inviting the city to come, and we also sent 2,200 soul-winners onto the streets for eight weeks of street evangelism, resulting in 48,459 recorded decisions for Christ.
In Madison Square Garden, in the middle of this six-week gospel outreach, on July 30th, 1999, Dr. Howard-Browne delivered a message entitled, "There is a Storm Coming." In his message, Dr. Howard-Browne prophetically warns the city of New York and the nation of America of impending disaster, asking them this question, "What would happen if a missile struck New York?" and warning, "Nations are plotting the downfall of America even as we speak!" With this warning, Dr. Howard-Browne issues a challenge and an exhortation to turn entirely to God and avert the coming storm. In the message, Dr. Howard-Browne also says, "It is two seconds to midnight!" Two years later, the world watched the disaster unfold and only now, in retrospect, can the full impact of those prophetic words of warning be understood.
As you watch this and hear the powerful prophetic message and see the awesome harvest of souls that night at The Garden, allow it to burn a passion into your heart to reach out to your city, your nation and your world. Time is short—there is a great harvest of souls that must be reaped.
Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. John 4:35 NIV
