Foundation Scriptures:

Jeremiah 1:12

1. The Lord Will Not Fail.

a. Joshua 21:45 KJV –– There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.

b. Think back over the last four years—where you were, how far you have come, and what the Lord has done for you.

c. The Lord keeps His promises to us, just as He did with Israel.

d. The Lord gave Israel all the land which He swore to give their fathers (Josh. 21:43).

e. The Lord gave them peace on all sides, just as He swore to their fathers (Josh. 21:44).

f. The Lord delivered their enemies into their hands.

g. Everything the Lord promised Israel came to pass.

h. Everything God promises you will come to pass.

i. Joshua 23:14 AMPC –– Know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one thing of them has failed.

2. His Word Will Not Fail.

a. 1 Kings 8:56 KJV –– Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

b. Solomon, like Joshua, knew that nothing God had promised ever failed (Josh. 21:45; 23:14).

c. The Lord is always faithful to keep His Word and fulfill His promises to anyone who meets the conditions included in the promise.

3. His Word Will Prosper.

a. Isaiah 55:11 KJV –– So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

b. Isaiah 55:11 AMPC –– So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

c. God’s Word never returns to Him void—in vain; vainly; uselessly; emptily; in an empty condition; without results; without producing any effect.

d. His Word accomplishes what He desires and succeeds in the matter for which He sends it.

e. The rain and snow come down from the Heavens and water the Earth (Isa. 55:10).

f. Then the watered ground causes the plants to sprout and grow, and they produce food for people to eat and seeds for the farmer to replant.

g. In the same way, God’s Word is always fruitful and prosperous.

h. He sends His Word out for a purpose and His purpose is always accomplished.

4. He Will Perform His Word.

a. Jeremiah 1:12 KJV –– Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

b. Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC ––Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.

c. Hasten (Hebrew šāqad) –– to wake; to be wakeful over; watch; to keep watch of; awake; to be alert, i.e. sleepless; hence to be, or remain, on the lookout.

d. The Lord is actively watching over His Word to fulfill it, and to ensure that it does come to pass.

e. When you stand on God’s Word, and fulfill the conditions, the Lord remains watchful over His promise to perform it, personally working to bring it to pass.

5. His Promises are Yes and Amen.

a. 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV –– For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

b. Yes (Greek nai) –– a primary particle of strong affirmation; yes; yea; surely; truth; verily; truly; assuredly; even so.

c. Amen means “so be it.”

d. All God’s promises are Yes and Amen—Yes and the Truth.

e. In Him, His promises are “Yes, I will do it.”

f. And God’s promises are Amen: which means that it is done!

g. It is done; it is fulfilled; it will come to pass.

h. Not one promise of God is No—or even Maybe—to the person who believes His Word and meets the conditions.

i. If we pray in faith, according to His Word, then it is Done at the time we ask.

j. And then He watches diligently over His Word to perform it—all the way until we have fully received it.

k. God is truthful and does not make promises that He does not plan to keep.

l. He guarantees the Truthfulness of His Word.

m. If He made a promise, then He is faithful to keep it.

n. As the angel, Gabriel assured Mary: “For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment” (Luke 1:37 AMPC).
