Update What a 3 day journey its been leaving Harare Zimbabwe Wednesday 7.00 am on day 10 - drove across Zimbabwe through the border town crossed at the Forbes Border Post then drove on to Beira - to a bible school that has had a long term relationship with overland missions - Phil & Sharon Smethurst - we arrived at about 5pm after set up c amp - had supper and then conducted a meeting in the Bible School - the fire fell - this is a church planting school that has planted 33 churches in 7 provinces in 8 years - run by Robbie Housen - originally from Australia - her son was killed in a car wreck and husband died from complications of blood clots in the lungs after an eye operation - she is relentless and runs the whole mission by her self along with the help that has been raised up - amazing lady - we left Beira at around 9 am - headed to Chupanga - right on the Zambezi Delta - we camped on a road in the middle of a forrest - after setting up camp as we lined the road in single file - built a fire in on the road removed scorpions and spiders - some huge from our perimeter - had supper and went to sleep - Woke up at 6 am - left for Chupanga the grave site of Mary Moffat - Dr David Livingstone's wife - we were at the grave side and recorded for tv - saw the house were the Livingstone's set up a missions base - was a slave house that house the slaves before they were dispersed around the world - remember slavery is still in effect with 27 million slaves in the world today that we know of and 1.5 million people a year being taken into slavery. We were moved as this Woman of God had given her life for the gospel - died at 41 years of age of malaria and here we were being bitten by mosquitoes at the grave site of mary Moffat - we then left Chupanga and dronce to Ciaia Mozambique to re-fill our Diesel in all the vehicles of the convoy - at the gas station I noticed a little 12 year old boy that had been locked in a cage and found out that he hasd stolen and the police were coming to take him - I took an interpreter and we led him to the Lord I then instructed him he must serve God and not steal anymore - we filmed the event - when the police arrived they wanted me to come to the police station because they were unhappy that we had filmed the event - and I told them no - I would get my interpreter and that we would explain - the were adamant - then they left me alone and demanded the camera crew go to the station they wanted to view and erase the tape - they went and erased some of the tape - however the police got to view the whole plan of the gospel and salvation - it's amazing the camera guys must have erased something else because we still have all the footage :) LOL we then headed for the town of Morrambula where we would find a pontoon ferry that would take us across the Churri River - we arrived 30 minutes before the ferry closed - we crossed the river and raced to the border hoping to cross into Mozambique however the border control had closed 90 minutes before we got their - Mozambique would let us pass for $200 US $ at 8 pm however malawi would not let us come in - so we pitched camp right at the border - 10 yards from the boom - of the border control - woke up at 6 am and then cleared customs and went through the border into Malawi - Led several people to the Lord and gave out bibles - such hunger for God - amazing - they were flocking to us - even prayed with customs official in malawi and gave him a bible - then we journeyed over the roughest of conditions to Blantyre - arriving at 2.30 pm - I will post later today about the happenings of last nights meeting - I am headed to the am services here in what has been an impromptu meeting - that we did not even know we would have 4 days ago - all I can say the fire fell the altar filled and a fire is being ignited in Malawi - Love and blessings - keep us in your prayers - from the city of Blantyre malawi - all our Love
