I find myself here on the 51st Parallel in the Cree Nation of Quebec - in Mistissini with the Grand Chief of the Cree Nation Matthew Coon Come The Cree Nation is one of the most blessed of the first Nations because their Grand Chief Matthew has been working tirelessly to lift his people out of poverty, and build his nation - and truly this is much more than I expected to find - beautiful communities with infrastructure - roads, water, police, fire department, schools etc - the Cree Nation is also blessed because Matthew who calls me his Pastor has proclaimed the gospel to his people - he and his family attended the River Bible Institute - and we have had a close relationship over the years. It is so interesting to see the effects of the gospel in this nation. Makes you think - what is holding others back from doing the same. Matthew is a brilliant man and the people love him - the Cree Nation has 10 communities - they have just over 18 000 members in their tribe - we conducted a meeting here - place was packed - altar filled - power of God fell - many lives touched by the power of the Holy Spirit
