Dear Friends and Partners,We greet you in the wonderful Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
In May, we graduated our River Bible Institute Class of 2005—first, second, and third year students—and celebrated the occasion with a week of special meetings, “Calling All Evangelists.” Of course this conference is not only for evangelists. It is for anyone who loves God and who wants His will in their lives. We had a wonderful time in the presence of God and we are expecting great things from the Class of 2005—not because of them alone, but because of the great King, Who lives in them!
By the time you get this letter, we will most likely be in the middle of Good News Umlazi in South Africa, but as we write to you, we are preparing to go into this great outreach. We are very excited about what the Lord is about to do! Already, over 5000 posters have been put up and over 300,000 fliers have been handed out. We also have 16 giant billboards posted throughout the city. We are running a huge newspaper campaign and all of the crusade will be aired live on two Christian radio stations and one secular radio station which will cover a 200 kilometer (125 mile) radius. We are paying for hundreds of buses and also for thousands of dollars worth of outdoor lighting that we will leave up after the crusade as a blessing to the people of Umlazi.
It is not too late for you to sow a seed for this harvest! These crusades cost a lot of money, over and above our normal operating budget and we are believing God for extra streams of income to cover all these outreaches. Partners, please pray and agree with us for this. Already, God has done many miracles! In one week we needed to send $100,000 immediately and we just began to call it in and praise God for it. Praise God—it supernaturally came in. A few days later, we found out that we needed $50,000 and God supernaturally brought it in that day!
God is good! If we will just do what He tells us to do, put pressure on the Word of God, speak the Word, and rejoice in faith, then God will move mountains and do miracles on our behalf. It’s not our will, but His that matters. We are merely the vessel. We possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves. Thank you, partners, for your faith, your prayers, and your commitment to the precious Gospel and the kingdom of God. Thank you for your generous and selfless support. Your love is a blessing and encouragement to us. We pray for you that God would richly bless you! The Lord is your unyielding Strength and a Stronghold of salvation to you, His anointed. You are His people and He will save you, you are His heritage and He will bless you. He will nourish and shepherd you and carry you forever. (Psalm 28:8-9 AMP Paraphrased)
