Deliverance From the Storm

Foundation Scriptures:
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. Hebrews 11:7 KJV
1. God Knows How to Deliver.
a. God knows how to deliver His people.
b. 2 Peter 2:5 KJV –– And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly.
c. God delivered Noah and his family.
d. Genesis 6:22 KJV –– Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.
e. They were saved because they fully obeyed Him and carried out His instructions.
f. 2 Peter 2:9 KJV –– The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
g. Just as God saved Noah and his family, He knows how to deliver the godly out of all temptations and trials.
h. If we trust Him, trust in His Word, and obey Him, He will deliver us.
2. God Delivers the Godly.
a. Psalms 34:7 KJV –– The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.
b. The Lord protects, preserves and delivers the righteous.
c. Psalms 91:14-16 KJV –– Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
d. The godly can expect the Lord to deliver them from all trials and temptations and bless them with a long life.
e. 2 Timothy 4:18 KJV –– And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
f. Paul had confidence that God would deliver Him from every evil work, because he obeyed God and was in the center of His will.
g. The righteous can rely on God’s help and deliverance.
h. Job 36:11 AMPC –– If they obey and serve Him, they shall spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasantness and joy.
i. Those who obey and serve God can expect to live a full life, protected, preserved and provided for.
j. But those who refuse and disobey Him, will perish (Job 36:12).
3. Delivered from All Troubles.
a. Psalms 34:17 KJV –– The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
b. When the righteous call on the Lord, He delivers them from ALL their troubles.
c. Psalms 34:19 KJV –– Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
d. It does not matter how many times the enemy attacks God’s people, or how many things he throws at them; the Lord will deliver them, and He does deliver them.
e. Daniel 6:27 AMPC –– He is a Savior and Deliverer, and He works signs and wonders in the heavens and on the earth — He Who has delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
f. When we trust Him, the Lord will do supernatural and miraculous things to deliver us from danger and destruction.
4. Prepare in Faith for Deliverance.
a. Hebrews 11:7 AMPC –– [Prompted] by faith Noah, being forewarned by God concerning events of which as yet there was no visible sign, took heed and diligently and reverently constructed and prepared an ark for the deliverance of his own family.
b. God will always forewarn His people, and He will deliver them if they hear Him and obey Him.
c. Noah prepared the Ark by faith.
d. He was not moved by fear.
e. We too, make preparations for the future, by faith—doing our part and trusting God to do what He promised.
5. Give Thanks for His Deliverance.
a. Psalms 50:14-15 KJV –– Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: 15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
b. When we honor God with our offerings and our obedience, He promises to hear us when we call on Him and to deliver us.
c. Even before we have need to call upon the Lord for His help, we bring Him offerings of honor.
d. In obedience, we faithfully bring our tithes and offerings to present to the Lord.
e. Also, with heart and voice, we offer up our thanksgiving and praise to Him.
f. Psalms 54:6-7 KJV –– I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good. 7 For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
g. And after the Lord has moved on our behalf, and delivered us from all our troubles, we give Him thanks and praise.
h. The first thing Noah did, was to build an altar and give God thanks for his family’s deliverance (Gen. 8:20).
i. Today, we too, give God thanks for His deliverance from the storm.
j. He is worthy of our praise, thanks, gratitude, honor, and worship.
