Foundation Scriptures:
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 KJV

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.  Matthew 1:20-23 KJV

1. Emmanuel Means “God With Us.”
a. Emmanuel—God WITH us and IN us—not just a God far out in the heavens.
b. The Father sent Jesus to die for us and pay the price for our sins so that each one of us could personally, intimately know the Father.
c. Hebrews 8:10-12 KJV — For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
d. Jesus came as one of us; to live with us; to die for us; so He could dwell and abide in us; so we could live eternally in His presence!
e. Jesus came to show us the Father’s heart and to introduce us to Him.
f. We can have our own relationship and fellowship with the Father through Jesus—we don’t need to go through another person.

2. Jesus Came to Save “Whosoever.”
a. John 3:16-18 KJV — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
b. Jesus came to save the world—not to reject, to condemn, or to pass sentence on the world (John 3:17 AMPC).
c. The Lord is not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9).
d. Whosoever calls on the Name of the Lord will be saved.
e. Romans 10:11-13 KJV — For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
f. Jesus died for every person in every nation.
g. Galatians 3:8-9 KJV — And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
h. There is no one, who comes to God in faith, whom He would ever reject.

3. Jesus Came to Destroy the Works of the Devil and Set the Captives Free.
a. Luke 9:56 KJV — For the Son of man is not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.
b. Jesus came to preach good news and to do good works.
c. Luke 4:18-19 KJV — The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
d. Jesus came to do good, to save us, and to completely deliver us from the devil and all his evil works.
e. Acts 10:38 KJV — How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
f. Jesus came to destroy sin and everything that is a product of it.
g. Sin, sickness, disease and death are a product of sin.
h. 1 John 3:8 KJV — He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

4. Jesus Came to Give Us Abundant Life.
a. Luke 19:10 KJV — For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
b. The Greek word for “save” is sozo (sode’-zo), which means to save; to deliver; to protect; to heal; to preserve, to do well, to make or be made whole.
c. John 10:10 AMPC — The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
