Fire Power

Foundation Scripture:
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 KJV
If you study the lives of those who have been mightily used by God, you’ll see that every one of them first had a powerful encounter with God. Abraham had an encounter with God, and so did Isaac, Jacob, Moses and Joshua, etc. In the New Testament: Peter, James, John and Paul, among others.
The scripture declares: For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him (2 Chronicles 16:9a KJV). Will you be one of them?
When you have an encounter with God—something happens on the inside. There’s a change that takes place. When God touches you, it’s not going to be business as usual. It’s not going to be the same old, same old. Then, people who have known you for years, will look at you and say, “There’s something different about you.” There will be a distinct difference from before to after.
You cannot have an encounter with God and stay the same. When He truly touches you, you are changed—spirit, soul, and body.
As a young man (18 years of age), in the month of July 1979, I pressed in to the presence of God and that’s when the fire of God fell on me. It changed my life forever. Because I received this great touch of God on my life, many others have now been touched and changed. I know that God can touch you, too, wherever you are. If you seek Him, you’ll find Him.
The Bible says that Jesus “returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee” (Luke 4:14a). The Bible also tells us that when the apostles preached the Gospel, the Holy Spirit gave witness with signs, wonders, miracles, and manifestations. “Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God” (Romans 15:19a KJV).
That’s the power of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are still in the Book of Acts! It is still being written, as we are filled with His power and as we allow Him to use us for His purposes. And—if you let the Lord touch and use you—your story is being written along with all those the Lord has chosen and used. That’s what you were born for. He wants to do the work in you, before He does it through you. He cannot do it through you until He first does it in you.
All it takes is someone, who is set ablaze with the fire of the Holy Ghost, and whole cities will be shaken.
It’s time for you to have an encounter with God. Will you allow the Lord to touch you this week? He will, if you press in to Him—hungry and thirsty. Don’t miss one service. He will come and touch you and your life will never ever be the same.
Just one touch from the Master’s hand, and your life will be changed forever!
