Foundation Scriptures:

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; 4 Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. 7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. 8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. 9 For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. 10 And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new. Leviticus 26:3-10 KJV

1. Respect Unto You.

a. The Lord promised them that He would “have respect” unto those who honor Him (vs.9).

b. That means He would turn toward them.

c. He turns toward them to bless them.

d. To make them fruitful.

e. To multiply them.

f. To establish His covenant with them.

2. Establish Covenant.

a. When God says He will establish His covenant with us, that means that He will fulfill the covenant promises He has made in His Word.

b. The word “establish” means to arise; to stand; to be confirmed; to be proven; to be valid; to be fulfilled; to endure.

c. From Adam, to Noah, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to the nation of Israel, and to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ—Almighty God made covenant promises of blessing and fruitfulness and increase and multiplication.

d. All those who take advantage of His promises, and fulfill His conditions, will surely experience all His promised blessings.

e. The Lord will establish, confirm, and fulfill every one of His covenant promises to them.

3. Covenant Power.

a. Deuteronomy 8:18 KJV –– But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

b. God gives you power to get wealth.

c. So that He can establish and ratify His covenant of blessing with you.

d. But He requires your participation.

e. You must put your effort in and work—but at the same time, you must put all your faith and trust in Him (not your own resources and ability).

f. Proverbs 3:5-10 KJV –– Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. 7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. 8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. 9 Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

g. Trust in the Lord and honor Him.

h. Do not lean to your own intelligence or understanding.

i. Acknowledge Him in ALL your ways, in every area of your life.

j. Look for and follow His leading and directions.

k. Don’t think that (or act like) you know better than God.

l. Fear Him and respectfully apply His wisdom in every sphere of your life.

m. Always choose to do what is right.

4. Remember the Lord.

a. Deuteronomy 8:18a KJV –– But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God.

b. If we remember God, He will turn His face toward us to bless us.

c. How do we remember God?

d. We remember Him by honoring Him as our Creator, our Lord, and our Savior.

e. We remember Him by acknowledging that He is our only source and supply.

f. We remember Him by reminding ourselves how good He has been to us.

g. And by maintaining an attitude of gratitude and thankfulness.

h. We remember Him by obeying His Word and keeping His commandments.

i. Numbers 15:40 KJV –– That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God.

j. We remember Him by being a doer of the Word, and not merely a hearer.

k. We remember Him in our giving—in our first fruits, tithes, and offerings.

l. Proverbs 3:9 AMPC –– Honor the Lord with your capital and sufficiency [from righteous labors] and with the firstfruits of all your income.

5. A Better Covenant.

a. Hebrews 8:6 NKJV –– But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

b. If the Lord kept and established His covenant of fruitfulness, blessing, and abundance, with His people under the Old Covenant, how much more would He not bless us with overflowing blessings under the New Covenant!

c. Which happens to be a better covenant, established on better promises, through the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

d. As you honor and acknowledge Him, He will turn toward you with favor, and make you abundantly fruitful, and greatly multiply and increase you.
