Multiplying Prayer — Part Two

Foundation Scriptures:
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Luke 18:1-8 KJV
1. Prayer — Doing Business with God.
a. It has been said that prayer changes things; however, prayer changes people and people change things.
b. Prayer is communication with God.
c. Prayer is you talking to Him and Him talking to you.
d. Prayer expands you spiritually — to enable you to receive more from God, so that He can do more through you.
e. Prayer is doing business with God.
f. Every failure is a prayer failure.
g. Luke 18:1 AMPC — “Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).”
h. The prayer meeting on Friday night, the 14th, gives us the opportunity to set aside 12 hours of intensive prayer.
i. For each individual to do business with God.
j. And corporately, for our church to press in.
2. Pray His Word — Pray His Will.
a. You have not because you ask not (James 4:2).
b. The Bible is plain that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us.
c. 1 John 5:14-15 KJV — “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
d. Last week, we looked at the multiplication of the loaves of the fish — where Jesus took the bread and broke it and 5,000 were fed.
e. He multiplied what they had in their hands.
f. As a result of the prayer meeting, expect everything you have in your hands to be multiplied.
3. Prayer List.
a. I asked you, last Sunday, to make a list of at least 12 things you are personally believing God for — one per hour.
b. Personal; Relationships; Husband and Wife; Family; Children; Friends; Business; Finances; Spiritual Life; Souls; Fruit.
c. It is time for multiplication.
d. We are also focusing in on three countries — the United Kingdom, South Africa, and the United States of America.
4. Occupy Until He Comes.
a. God spoke to me in 2008 concerning the church speaking to the sun and telling the sun not to set just yet.
b. Joshua 10:12-14
c. The Lord told me, “I will give you one more hour of daylight.”
d. We believe that God has granted our request and given us a last-minute reprieve, but we only have a window of time.
e. Luke 18:8b KJV – “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
f. In Luke 19:13, Jesus told us, “Occupy till I come.”
g. Many say they are waiting on the Lord; however, He is waiting on us.
h. Down through the centuries, down through the years, God has always found individuals whom He called and anointed.
i. Noah; Abraham; Isaac; Jacob; Joseph; Moses; Joshua; Elijah; Elisha.
j. And then you.
5. True Prayer Moves You.
a. Many people hide behind prayer but have no activity.
b. True prayer moves you — then God moves with you.
c. God will move with the man, or woman, who moves.
d. Do not allow inactivity and the spiritual exercise of prayer to sit in the same room.
e. We pray, we hear, we go, and we do.
f. As your pastor, what I am expecting from this prayer meeting, is for there to be an acceleration of your spiritual life and everything that you do.
g. That in the remaining months of this year, everything would multiply and be expedited and what other people would not see in three years, you will see in three months.
h. I prophesy over you this will be the greatest Thanksgiving and Christmas you’ve ever had.
i. Regardless of what’s happening in the world, the Lord is your source; He is your supply, He is the way maker; He goes before you to make the crooked paths straight.
6. God’s Eyes and Ears are Open to the Righteous.
a. The Word of God declares the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers.
b. He is waiting on you.
c. Jeremiah 33:3 KJV — “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
d. There will not fail one word of all His good promises (1 Kings 8:56).
e. When we pray, the demonic forces are held at bay and the angels are loosed to move on our behalf.
f. There are more with us than there are with them.
7. Get Ready for God to Move.
a. What we have been praying, over this last decade, is that every plan of the enemy would be set back and would come unraveled — that total confusion would be wreaked in the camp of the wicked — that God would pull the wheels off of pharaoh’s chariots — and that the enemy would turn on himself like a dog on its own tail.
b. Which is clearly happening even as we speak.
c. That Hollywood would unravel and lose its influence.
d. That the sporting world would unravel and lose its influence.
e. That the main-stream media would unravel and lose their influence.
f. That all the gods of America would fall.
g. That we will see another Great Spiritual Awakening.
h. It’s time.
