Worshipping The Father in Spirit and in Truth

Foundation Scriptures:
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23-24 KJV
1. A Personal Relationship.
a. Last week we talked about developing a personal, intimate relationship with the Father.
b. Spend time talking to Him.
2. His Names—Worship Him for Who He Is.
a. Alpha and Omega—Beginning and the End—The First and the Last (Revelation 22:13).
b. I am that I am (Exodus 3:14).
c. The Ancient of Days (Daniel 7:9).
d. The Eternal One (Deuteronomy 33:27).
e. Creator of heaven and earth (Isaiah 40:28).
f. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Matthew 22:32).
g. Elohim—Exceedingly Great and Mighty God (Genesis 1:1).
h. El Shaddai—the Almighty God; the All-Sufficient God (Genesis 17:1).
i. El Elyon—Supreme God; the Most High God (Genesis 14:19).
j. Adonai—Lord God (Psalm 54:4).
k. Everlasting Strength (Isaiah 26:4).
l. Jehovah Jireh—the Lord will Provide (Genesis 22:14).
m. Jehovah Rapha—the Lord my Healer (Exodus 15:26).
n. Jehovah Nissi—the Lord my Banner (Exodus 17:15).
o. Jehovah Shalom—the Lord is my Peace (Numbers 6:26; Isaiah 53:5).
p. Jehovah Ra’ah—the Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23:1).
q. Jehovah Sabaoth (tsa-ba-owt)—the Lord of Hosts (2 Samuel 6:2).
r. Jehovah Shammah—the Lord is There (Psalm 46:1).
s. Immanuel—God with us (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23).
t. The God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2).
u. He Who sits in the heavens and laughs (Psalm 2:4).
v. The Potter (Isaiah 64:8).
w. Father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5).
x. My Salvation, my Strength and my Song (Isaiah 12:2).
y. Omnipresent—Omnipotent—Omniscient.
z. Abba Father (Romans 8:15).
3. In Spirit and in Truth.
a. Do not worship soulishly—merely from your flesh and mind.
b. Worship from your heart.
c. Worship with spirit, soul and body—with every fiber of your being.
d. He is as committed to you as you are to Him.
e. Cut off, and cut out, every outside thing.
f. Give Him everything.
g. Get involved with your passion and from the core of who you are.
4. Something Happens When You Worship.
a. The thing you need, will be met.
b. Your enemies will be defeated.
c. His presence will saturate your life.
d. Everything of the natural world will fade into eternity.
e. Will you worship Him in Spirit and in Truth?
