Taking Cities in the Land of Giants

Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. Joshua 1:6-7

When God is on your side and you obey Him in all things; you will never fail. Joshua and the Israelites took cities and defeated foes who were bigger, stronger and more numerous than they were because they trusted in Almighty God and they obeyed God and did everything He told them to do even though it might have not made any sense to the natural mind.

Joshua and this generation succeeded where their parents failed, because they refused to be paralyzed by fear. God had called on Joshua to take over from Moses and lead the people into the Promised Land. Joshua obeyed God – and the people followed his lead – and God made a way for them and did everything He promised. Before he died, Joshua told the people, “Know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God promised concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one thing of them has failed.”
