Renewing the Mind
ProductPublish date: 08/10/2011
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
There is an unseen war – between sin and righteousness – with manifest consequences, that rages in the minds of people. Without God, the mind of man is carnal – meaning fleshly – which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:6-7 says, “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.” Your character, your choices and your actions are made up of the sum of the attitudes and opinions of your mind and your outlook. These strongholds will bring either victory or defeat to your life.
Without the influence of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, you will think wrong thoughts, make wrong choices and do wrong things. God gives us His word and His Holy Spirit so that we can renew our mind to God’s way of thinking, doing and being and so that we can have results that bring life and blessing to us, and everyone whose lives we touch. The battlefield of the mind is a DAILY battle that every person faces as long as they are on the earth. The good news is that you can win.
Watch to this DVD and meditate on the scriptures and truths that are shared. Train yourself to act upon God’s Word immediately. Learn to recognize thoughts that you should think on and thoughts that you should IMMEDIATELY refute and cast down. God loves you and wants to tear down EVERY stronghold in your mind so they will not take you out.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1-2
