Dear Friends and Partners,We greet you in the miraculous Name of Jesus.
As we write this, we are preparing to leave for South Africa for Good News Mamelodi (GNM). When you read this we will be finished with the outreach and you will be able to see pictures on revival.com. We are expecting great things! Thank you so much for supporting us as we shake the nation of South Africa. Hundreds of thousands of people are eternally indebted to you for your faithfulness!
This is our report for you on Mamelodi so far:
We have over 400 churches participating in the crusade with us and we also have over 400 people, from many different churches, signed up for the Mamelodi Mass Choir. There is great excitement and anticipation for the crusade in Mamelodi.
We have four radio stations signed up to broadcast GNM live every night. Two are Christian stations and two are secular stations. The manager of one of these secular stations was not interested in airing the crusade at all. He had already made up his mind and was completely closed about it. We asked him if we could at least have ten minutes to talk about it and advertise it on his station and he said no way. So we asked if we could buy the time and he gave us a price. We paid it and our Good News crusade director, Sydney Francis and another minister spoke for ten minutes about Good News Mamelodi and what God was going to do. At the end, the station manager who had been listening, came in and said, “I am an atheist. I do not believe in God, or what you are doing, and I did not want to have your crusade on my radio station, but while you were speaking something came over me and I am going to allow you to broadcast your crusade live on my station!” Isn’t God awesome? He has given us tremendous favor not only with churches, ministers, and Christians, but with secular businesses too!
The man who did the sound for Good News Umlazi was extremely blessed because of the crusade–he received four major sound contracts from the government to do four huge events for them. He was so blessed financially, and so excited at the doors God opened for him, that he has made a large donation of praise and worship equipment to us. So we are going to have a giveaway to the participating churches whose people volunteer in the crusade. We will do a drawing for the volunteers and their church will win a complete set of instruments–drums, keyboard, bass, electric guitar, and horn. We also have another ten electric guitars to give away.
We have already had a toy giveaway for orphans and other under-privileged children, and we had 700 of them show up. People were blessed that we did that and it even made the newspapers. As for advertising: we have our GNM advert in several nationwide newspapers and on eleven major billboards. We have also put up 7000 posters and handed out one million handbills! Every night of the crusade we will distribute tickets and have a drawing to win R5000 (approximately $800).
Once again, thank you for your partnership. Through your generous financial support, you go with us to Mamelodi! We love and appreciate you very much and pray that the Lord will bless and prosper you exceedingly! Who is like the Lord our God, Who has His seat on high, Who humbles Himself to regard the heavens and the earth! [The Lord] raises the poor out of the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap and the dung hill, That He may seat them with princes, even with the princes of His people.
