ITS A NEW DAY!

Dear Friends & Partners,

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus.

I believe that 2006 is the year of the harvest and the flood; the year of change; the year of going to the next level! In the month of December the Lord spoke to me about America and our call to this nation. I had been feeling restless in my spirit and I needed to hear from Him concerning the direction in which we were going. Usually, when you feel "scratchy" in your spirit, it is because God is trying to get your attention to make a change in your life and/or ministry. Now, if the Lord tells you to do something, you need to lock in and give it everything you've got, but you also need to be prepared to change direction at the Spirit's leading so that you may continue to walk in His blessings.

When the Lord spoke to me about America and our call, He started by asking me this question, "What are you doing right now that you said you would never do?" I answered Him, "I said I would never be a pastor." Then He said to me, "Well, its nine years now that you have been pastor of The River at Tampa Bay!" Then He asked me, "What else did you say that you would never do?" I told Him that I had said that I would never do mass crusades. His response to me was, "Well, you have already done three mass crusades and are preparing to go to India for the fourth one!" 

Then the Lord continued, "What else did you say that you never wanted to do?" I told Him that I never wanted to build a church building and His response to me was, "Why would I give you 83 acres if I did not want you to have a building that could adequately house the people that I am going to send to you from around the world? This leads me to the next thing that you said you would never do—you said you would never go on television in America. However, the fact is that you are on TV all over the world—and have been for years—except in America."

We must have one of the largest "television" ministries of anyone who is not on TV! Other people have just taken our footage and either paid for us to go on TV or put us on their networks for free. Of course, we don't get anything back either, but, frankly, we are just happy that the freedom of the gospel is being proclaimed!

We know that it is now time to take America! I just watched a shocking video that claims that there are now 400,000 Muslims in Texas and that Texans are converting to Islam at an alarming rate. Many of them claim to be Southern Baptists who are unhappy with the decline of morality in America. They feel that Islam has the answers! It is important that we move quickly and go on television with the power of God so that we can touch people's lives and so that they can have an encounter with the living Jesus and not mere dead religion.

We are starting on daily TV in the month of March—Monday to Friday—in the central Florida region. We are believing the Lord that the moment we are able to pay for the daily show, we will expand to other areas across America, until we see this nation covered—not with just another Christian program, but with a powerful display of the presence of God.

I will open the broadcast with a greeting, invite people to watch, and then take them inside one of the great meetings from around the world, that we have archived from the last 15 years. Then I will come right back to pray for them. I believe that we are going to see great results from the program. In order to give people an opportunity to be in a live meeting and experience the power of God for themselves, we are going to be hosting a monthly Holy Spirit weekend in Tampa. The first one will be held over the Easter Weekend—Thursday, April 13th to Sunday, April 16th 2006.

Please be in prayer with us about this new direction that God has laid on our hearts. Before now I had not wanted to build a building because of all the huge empty buildings I had seen over the years. I was the one who had to try to have revival meetings in those places and to raise those churches from the dead. I had built up a resistance to the idea of building big buildings. I also did not want to go on TV in America and be slotted in between a green, prayer handkerchief and vitamins! I am being totally honest with you right now. In spite of all my feelings on buildings and television, I know that the Lord wants this to happen and we will obey Him and move to implement exactly what He wants us to do. It is amazing that many times people wait for God to release finances before they are prepared to move, when all along, God is waiting for them to move in the right direction so that He can release the finances. Well, we are moving and we expect that God will provide everything we need. We are going to the next level!

We are in negotiations with a group who will design, construct, and manage every aspect of the building process of our new, world headquarters. We are believing the Lord that we will be able to break ground on the new sanctuary in January 2007 and move in, in 2008. Our current building is going to be the lobby. We believe that we will be able to share more of our progress with you including the plans and the layout at Summer Campmeeting 2006. The theme of the campmeeting will be "Vision 2006 and Beyond".

WE NEED YOUR PRAYERS AND GENEROUS FINANCIAL SUPPORT AT THIS TIME AS WE GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL—PLEASE PRAY AND ALLOW GOD TO USE YOU—OVER AND ABOVE WHAT YOU NORMALLY DO—SO THAT WE CAN GO TO THE NEXT LEVEL.

I personally have spent three weeks going through every aspect of the ministry and making the changes necessary so that we can accomplish all that the Lord has for us. Our focus has been to restructure the church so that we can minister to the entire family in the way the Lord would have us—we are back to two services on Sunday morning at 8 & 11. This is to ensure that we can comfortably accommodate everyone as we go into our construction project at Revival Ministries International World Headquarters.

The new world headquarters will consist of a new sanctuary—3000 seats plus—and the new day care and children's church facilities. We also have a vision for an elementary school and eventually a high school, which will be fully accredited through Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, OK. We would also like to build a youth center like no other, a family life center, a restaurant, a new film/television studio and call center, a new fulfillment center, and an office complex for RMI.

And they came, each one whose heart stirred him up and whose spirit made him willing, and brought the Lord's offering to be used for the [new] Tent of Meeting, for all its service, and the holy garments. 22 They came, both men and women, all who were willinghearted, and brought brooches, earrings or nose rings, signet rings, and armlets or necklaces, all jewels of gold, everyone bringing an offering of gold to the Lord. 23 And everyone with whom was found blue or purple or scarlet [stuff], or fine linen, or goats' hair, or rams' skins made red [in tanning], or dolphin or porpoise skins brought them. 24 Everyone who could make an offering of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord's offering, and every man with whom was found any acacia wood for any work of the service brought it. 25 All the women who had ability and were wisehearted spun with their hands and brought what they had spun of blue and purple and scarlet [stuff] and fine linen; 26 And all the women who had ability and whose hearts stirred them up in wisdom spun the goats' hair. 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate, 28 And spice, and oil for the light and for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense. 29 The Israelites brought a freewill offering to the Lord, all men and women whose hearts made them willing and moved them to bring anything for any of the work which the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done. Exodus 35:21-29 AMP

I know that this would seem like a great undertaking, however, it is not merely something I want to do—on the contrary, I did not want to do it. It's what the Lord wants—I have made myself willing! Those that have known us for years will testify to the fact that we did not run from Good News New York when God called us to go and we will not run from this either. Please pray and give as the Lord leads you and be a part, not only of building this house, but also of seeing America shaken by the power of God. We, at RMI and The River at Tampa Bay, have been praying for the past three weeks for the mind, plan, purpose and wisdom of God—not just for us, but also for you, our friends and partners in the faith.
