Give Thanks

Foundation Scriptures:
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20 KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV
1. Give Thanks FOR ALL Things.
a. God — the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit — created all things.
b. John 1:3 KJV — All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
c. All things are His — they belong to Him — and He deserves the glory.
d. Romans 11:36 KJV — For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
e. All good things come from God and are freely given by Him.
f. Romans 8:32 KJV — He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
g. Give thanks and praise to God for His goodness and His mercy and His kindness and His faithfulness.
h. Psalm 100:5 AMPC — For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations.
i. It is the devil who sows seeds of ungratefulness.
j. Many people miss out on God’s blessings, because they are not thankful, or grateful, for everything with which He has already blessed them.
k. Deuteronomy 28:47 (AMPC) says that all these curses shall come upon you… ”because you did not serve the Lord your God with joyfulness of [mind and] heart [in gratitude] for the abundance of all [with which He had blessed you].”
l. We do not give thanks FOR any work of the enemy.
m. We DO NOT give thanks for anything that is killing, stealing, or destroying.
n. We DO give thanks because the Lord is our Redeemer and our Deliverer, and He will save us.
2. Give Thanks IN ALL Things.
a. We can give thanks IN all things, because He is good.
b. We can give thanks IN the middle of an adverse situation, or circumstance, because God is faithful to bring us through, and bring us out, if we will trust Him.
c. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 KJV — But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.
d. We can give thanks to God, from inside the circumstances, because He has made a way of escape for us (1 Corinthians 10:13).
e. Give thanks because with God, all things are possible, and nothing is impossible.
f. Whatever your need is — God is willing and able to meet it.
g. Mark 10:27 KJV — And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
h. Believe that all things are possible with God.
i. Mark 9:23 KJV — Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
3. Thank Him.
a. The way you enter God’s presence is through thanksgiving and praise.
b. Psalm 100:4 KJV — Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
c. Give thanks because He is good to all — He supplies food, sunshine and rain to every living creature and person.
d. Psalm 145:9 AMPC — The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works [the entirety of things created].
e. Psalm 136:25 KJV — Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
f. Matthew 5:45 KJV — That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
g. Give thanks because He is your Salvation.
h. Psalm 27:1 AMPC — The Lord is my Light and my Salvation — whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life — of whom shall I be afraid?
i. Give thanks because He is on your side.
j. Hebrews 13:6 AMPC - So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?
k. Give thanks because He hears and answers your prayers.
l. Psalm 66:19 AMPC — But certainly God has heard me; He has given heed to the voice of my prayer.
m. Give thanks to God for everything that He has given you and that He has done for you.
n. Give thanks, not only for the big things, but for the little things, as well.
o. Thank Him because He gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
p. Thank Him for this beautiful earth; for the sun, moon and stars; for the universe.
q. Thank Him for green grass and blue skies.
r. Thank Him for the powerful ocean and the peaceful streams.
s. Thank Him for day and night; for cold and heat; for sunshine and rain.
t. Thank Him for all He has created.
u. Thank Him for giving you your life and breath (Acts 17:25).
v. Thank Him because He loves you.
w. Thank Him because He is watching over you.
x. Thank Him for His provision and His protection.
y. Thank Him for all He has given and all He has done.
z. Thank Him because He is Almighty God and worthy of all the Praise and Honor and Glory.
