Jesus is Building His Church

Foundation Scriptures:
…upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18b KJV

1. Powerful Praise and Worship.
a. Worship in spirit and in truth. 
b. John 4:23-24 KJV ­— But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
c. Worship from the heart. 
d. Worship brings you into His very presence.
e. Worship brings heaven down.
f. Psalm 22:3 KJV — But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
g. Worship Him for Who He is and for what He has done.
h. 1 Chronicles 16:29 KJV — Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
i. Worship Him publicly and privately.
j. Psalm 134:2 KJV — Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.
k. Psalm 100:1-5 KJV — Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
l. You worship with your voice and musical instruments.
m. You worship by lifting your hands, dancing, clapping, giving thanks.
n. You worship with your offering of praise and your tithes and offerings.

2. Powerful Preaching and Teaching.
a. Exalt the Word of God.
b. Psalm 138:2 KJV — I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
c. Jesus is the Word of God made flesh.
d. John 1:1 KJV — In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
e. John 1:14 KJV — And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
f. Revelation 19:13 KJV — And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
g. Believe God’s Word and receive it into your heart.
h. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 KJV — All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
h. Renew your mind and be conformed to the Truth of the Word of God.
j. John 17:17 KJV — Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 
k. Ephesians 1:12-13 KJV — That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.
l. Demonstrations of the Holy Spirit and power.
m. 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 KJV — And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: 5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

3. Testimonies of Lives Changed.
a. Your testimony of what Jesus has done for you is powerful.
b. Revelation 12:11 KJV — And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
c. Jesus delivered the demon-possessed man at Gadara.
d. Mark 5:18-20 KJV — And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all men did marvel.
e. The man wanted to follow Jesus, but He told him to go back home and testify of the great things the Lord had done for Him.
f. Mark 7:31 KJV — And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
g. Because of the testimony of the man who was delivered from demons, a great multitude showed up the next time Jesus came to their region (Mark 8:1-9). 
h. There were about 4000 who came, and Jesus fed them with loaves and fishes.
i. Your testimony is powerful in two ways.
j. It is a blessing to you — solidifying in your heart what God has done for you.
k. It is a blessing to others — it gives them hope that God can touch their life and meet their need as well.

4. Preparing People for Eternity.
a. Win souls.
b. Proverbs 11:30 KJV — The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
c. Always keep your eyes on Jesus and His Word as you run your own race.
d. 1 Timothy 1:19 AMPC — Holding fast to faith (that leaning of the entire human personality on God in absolute trust and confidence) and having a good (clear) conscience. By rejecting and thrusting from them [their conscience], some individuals have made shipwreck of their faith.
e. Be personally submitted — spirit, soul and body — to the Word and Spirit of God.
f. 1 Corinthians 9:27 KJV — But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
