1. Tongues is the Gateway to the Supernatural.
a.These signs will follow those who believe.
b. Mark 16:17-18
c. Tongues is the language of the Spirit—it is your prayer language.
d. This is why the devil has fought speaking in tongues more than anything else.
e. The Holy Spirit, in your spirit, speaks through you.
f. 1 Corinthians 14:39
g. Do not forbid to speak with tongues.
2. Tongues for Supernatural Communication.
a. 1 Corinthians 14:2
b. Speaking mysteries to God.
c. No person understands tongues—but God.
d. Tongues is a hotline to heaven.

f. Paul and the apostles spoke in tongues.
3. Tongues for Supernatural Praise.
a. 1 Corinthians 14:15-17
b. Sing in your native tongue and also sing in the Spirit.
4. Tongues for Supernatural Power.
a. Luke 24:49
b. Acts 1:8
c. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you receive power to do the will of God.
5. Tongues for Supernatural Edification.
a. 1 Corinthians 14:4
b. When you speak in tongues, you edify yourself—you bless yourself and build yourself up spiritually.
6. Tongues for Supernatural Prayer.
a. Romans 8:26-27
b. When we don’t know what to pray or how to pray, the Spirit prays the perfect will of God through us.
c. 1 Corinthians 14:14
d. Tongues is your private prayer language.
e. Once you are baptized in the Holy Ghost, you can speak in tongues whenever you want to.
f. Whereas, the gift of tongues operates only as the Spirit wills and should be followed by the interpretation.
7. Tongues for Supernatural Refreshing.
a. Isaiah 28:11-12 KJV — For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
b. Rest and refreshing.
c. John 7:37-39 KJV — In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. 39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
d. Holy Spirit peace and joy.
e. Romans 14:17 KJV — For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
8. Tongues to Overcome Supernaturally.
a. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 KJV — (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
b. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 Kenneth S. Wuest — For the weapons of our warfare are not human but mighty in God’s sight, resulting in the demolition of fortresses, demolishing reasonings and every haughty mental elevation which lifts itself up against the experiential knowledge [which we believers have] of God, and leading captive every thought into the obedience to the Christ.
c. The more you pray in tongues, the more you are built up and strengthened.
d. Jude 20 KJV — But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
e. The more you pray in tongues, the quieter your mind becomes.
f. The more you pray in tongues, the more you hear the voice of the Spirit.
g. Galatians 5:16 NKJV — I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
9. The Holy Spirit, Flowing Through You.
a. Tongues makes you the channel through which the Holy Spirit can operate.
b. Nine gifts.
c. 1 Corinthians 12:7-11 KJV — But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
d. Tongues stir you up.
